چکیده

Multi-layered polycrystalline diamond (PCD) films were synthesized using microwave plasma-assisted chemical vapor deposition (CVD) with periodical addition (injections) of N 2 gas to the standard CH 4 -H mixture. The aim such an approach was reduce roughness while preserving overall high quality and phase purity PCD material. thicknesses in range 5 51 ?m, number layers from 1 15. introduction even smallest amount nitrogen leads a significant (more than 2-fold) increase growth rate films. Optimized injection regimes allowed reduction relative (S q /thickness) by more 3 times comparison microcrystalline film grown under similar conditions without addition. proposed method periodic during restricted formation continuous NCD layers, which improved sp3/sp2 ratio multi-layered MCD/NCD materials. obtained materials reduced may be used for protective hard covers, optical coatings, electrochemical thermal management applications. plasma CVD short-term injections process gas; average is doubled owing pulsed injection, surface (no injection) film. • are injections. UV photoemission efficiency of polycrystalline CVD diamond films

The absolute quantum efficiency of polycrystalline diamond films grown on silicon substrates by chemical vapor deposition (CVD) is reported in the range of 25–200 nm. The efficiency of boron-doped and hydrogen-activated by microwave plasma reflective photocathodes peaked at 37% at 40 nm with the sensitivity cutoff observed at ~190 nm. We confirmed that hydrogen activation is relatively stable i...

Superconductivity in CVD diamond films.

A beautiful jewel of diamond is insulator. However, boron doping can induce semiconductive, metallic and superconducting properties in diamond. When the boron concentration is tuned over 3 × 10(20) cm(-3), diamonds enter the metallic region and show superconductivity at low temperatures. The metal-insulator transition and superconductivity are analyzed using ARPES, XAS, NMR, IXS, transport and ...

Effect of doping on electronic states in B-doped polycrystalline CVD diamond films

High-resolution Laplace deep-level transient spectroscopy (LDLTS) and thermal admittance spectroscopy (TAS) have been used to determine the effect of boron (B) concentration on the electronic states in polycrystalline chemical vapour deposition diamond thin films grown on silicon by the hot filament method. A combination of high-resolution LDLTS and direct-capture cross-sectional measurements w...
